MUNDO FELIZ
Mundo Feliz es la síntesis de mi reinterpretación acerca de los usos y costumbres, y de las manifestaciones artísticas de los Huicholes; y la fundamento en el estudio del sincretismo que encierra su mística y prácticas religiosas, que están íntimamente ligadas a la madre naturaleza, y entre otras, plasmadas en la estética de su indumentaria y artesanías.
A través de Mundo Feliz equiparo las similitudes morfológicas entre mi estilo pictórico y la simplicidad de los elementos geométricos característicos del arte Huichol; de los materiales, paleta de colores y combinaciones que eligen para ejecutarlo; todo esto con el fin de abstraerlos y tomarlos como eje rector de la serie.
Paralelamente al tema sincrético; analizo los efectos que dan como resultado del consumo del peyote; y los plasmo en figuras abstractas que paradójicamente cobra vida.
HAPPY WORLD
Happy World is the synthesis of my reinterpretation about the culture and customs and the artistic manifestation of the Huichol people; and the foundation in the study of syncretism that encloses their mysticism and religious practices intimately linked to mother nature; and among others, embodied in the aesthetics of its clothing and handcrafts.
Through Happy World, I compare the morphological similarities between my pictorial style and the simplicity of the geometric elements characteristic of Huichol art; the materials, color palette and combinations they choose to execute it; all this in order to abstract them and take them as the guiding principle of the series.
Parallel to the syncretic theme; I analyze the effects that result from peyote consumption; and I capture them in abstract figures that paradoxically come alive
